O past perfect é usado para descrever uma ação que ocorreu no passado, antes de outra ação também passada.
O past perfect é usado também com o past simple para falar de duas coisas que aconteceram em momentos diferentes no passado. Nesse caso, usa-se o past perfect para a ação que aconteceu primeiro e o past simple para a ação que aconteceu depois.
